Fort Langley.

Fort Langley is a village community, forming part of the Township of Langley, and is home to the Fort Langley National Historic Site, a former fur trade post of the Hudson's Bay Company. Bounded by the south bank of the Fraser River and the north side of Highway 1, Fort Langley is at the northern edge of Langley Township.

A popular shopping destination resides in the centre of Fort Langley, consisting of about eighty businesses and its commercial core has a mix of services, restaurants, retail stores and museums. It is frequented by residents of Langley, as well as tourists, and is known for its selection of independent businesses and its historic character.

Outdoor recreation includes canoeing, fishing, hiking and horseback riding, wine tasting and it has served as a filming location for commercials, TV shows and movies, with its striking yellow community hall usually featured prominently. Fort Langley has an avid equestrian population and is home to Thunderbird Show Park, one of North America's premier equestrian show facilities.

The community is served by a local Fire Hall, staffed by paid on-call fire fighters. As with other town centres in Langley, policing is provided by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). There are two schools in Fort Langley, including the Langley Fine Arts School, a specialty arts-focused 1-12 school, and one elementary school. Fort Langley is home to many older homes, acreages and newer townhome and condominium developments, as well as services, housing and co-housing specifically designed for seniors.
